U3A is part of an international network with over 500 branches in the UK.

Clitheroe hold a General Meeting, to which a guest speaker is usually invited, on the second turesday of each month at 2:30pm in St. Mary's Centre, Church Street.

Separate interest groups and short courses run throughout the year as do visits to art galleries and other places of interest.

U3A is a learning co-operative of mainly older people, enabling members to share aducational, creative and leisure activities.  It is a university in the original sebse o the word: a collective of people devoted to learning.

It is called a university but it has members not students.  No qualifications are required and none are given.  All you need is interest and enthusiasmn.  There is no lower or upper age limit, we have members from 50 to 90+.

Access at members rates to other branch activities and national resources

N.B. to belong to an interest group you must be a paid up member of the branch
